Recent Birthday Cards + Presents

June is a popular month to be born in for my friends + family, and here are the cards I have made so far this month. I have a huge box of old magazines, postcards, lomographs, fliers, newspapers, cd + vinyl covers, posters...anything flat that can be cut out and stuck down. Then I get busy with my favourite permanent markers.

One of the presents I made that I was particularly pleased with, gold claw style earrings made from 100% upcycled jewellery bits.

Pretty Bracelet

Made this little bracelet for my good friends birthday last week, she must have liked it as she wore it the rest of the evening! The middle section was an enamel brooch that I modified, bought from The Vintage Antique Centre in Warwick. Loads of lovely stuff for sale, all price ranges and eras accounted for.

Items like this will also be available at any of the events I will be trading at over the next month, Including Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair in Leamington Spa on the 26th May...more details to follow soon.

Upcoming Stock

This is the kind of state I get into when handcrafting a batch of my jewellery...however this was part way through tidying up! Got some new pieces available for a stall I am holding at my Mum's Hafla on Saturday night back home, hopefully the dancers will fancy some Christmas shopping too! Take note of all the recycled pots, tins and shoeboxes, the  perfect storage system :)

Also going to do the Art Market on Picadilly in Hanley on the 2nd July and also the sustainable Watusi Festival in Wales...more information on that one to come.

Happy Birthday Deborah!

I definitely go through little phases of different card designs...this one sticks to the 'something pretty/cool cut out from a magazine' format. Lovely natural decoupage style flowers, birds and a butterfly, perfect for Tom's mum 54th Birthday.
