Let the Christmas Shopping Commence!

It appears I have been that busy, that I have forgotten to post anything for over 2 weeks...eeek! There are so many wonderful second hand purchases of late that have not had the chance to be photographed...maybe they will after Christmas when I'm not having to go to my day job everyday and make Christmas presents all night...

I have also been a busy bee at some fab local vintage fairs, which I have made some loverly new product for...so check out the below and see if anything takes your fancy. This weekend it's Nanas Vintage Fair at Fat Cats in Hanley, event page HERE!

Generous real leather tote bags, re-worked from jackets - complete with original pockets and cuff details, they are also fully lined. Bags are £30.00 each.

 I'm always adding to the jewellery collection; newest pieces include a nice weighty rose pendant, a real silver filigree bow necklace, diamante trim feather pendant and the classic NY logo...prices range from my famous £1 bargain bowl to £6-7 for larger pieces.

Great for quirky stocking fillers, my recycled textile gadget cases, perfect for phones, cameras or mp3 players. Each one is double layered to give slimline protection and finished with a one of a kind button! All cases £4.00 each, more styles available.

For the real fashionistas I have the sweetest lace collars...dress up a plain tee or customise your favourite dress for the party season ahead! Handmade from vintage lace crochet and finished with a vintage button. £4.50 each.

Hope to see you there on Sunday, I will also have my sewing machine at the ready for those alterations and repairs too!

Sewing Day

Altering stuff is an essential skill required to live a life of nothing new....I have had years of practice now, so I ain't bad on a sewing machine. On Saturday I finally had the chance to get through my 'stuff to be altered' pile that was slowly growing in the bedroom. a few hours of just me and my machine...I also altered a couple of bikini tops (too big around the backs) and repaired a botched job on a top made a few weeks ago...but pictures of those would be explicit/boring;

 Some of the most important things I own

Sleeves taken up on this, now I shall actually wear it

trousers skinnified and proper hems around the armholes of this top (chopped the sleeves off ages ago)

Dress taken in at sides to fit then made sleeve-less. Buttons changed and a top one added. Ain't done a button-hole in a while, good practice!

Trousers dyed (they were originally beige) taken in and cropped slightly. Also showing off my ebay wedges that fit perfectly.

Oxfam Originals 70's dress, shortened and made sleeveless - beni ready!

 I decided the big spotty tee was too long for summer, so cropped it slightly. Hemmed these shorts too. Trying this on made me want to be on holiday now...
