Mum's Birthday

It's my mama's birthday this month and she needs a card and pressie! I made the card out of a cut out lomograph from my beloved Holga, mounted on some brown card.....I have enough paper and card left over from my degree to last me a lifetime. Envelope is just a peice of paper wrapped around the card and taped in place.

The present is wrapped in a piece of fabric from a dress. I keep all bits of fabric as you can use them over and over...people normally give it back as they dont know what to do with it! Tied up with a length of satin ribbon - I have lots of that too! I have been doing this for a while now; using fabric to wrap presents, I think they look sooooo much prettier than paper, lovely and tactile.

The present is a black clutch bag that I bought, it was on her birthday list...I am doing this project for myself and don't plan on forcing my thrifty-ness onto people, so the bag was new, from a high street shop. I tried to find a second hand or vintage bag, but there was nowt to be found in Manc or Stoke!
