I made the most of the sunny Sunday just gone, and ventured out into the garden to tie dye some leggings ready for beni festival fun in a couple of weeks....I cannot wait! And this was dead easy too; I was dyeing some old grey leggings purple, using thin strips of t-shirt material to tie.
Began by roughly planning out where I wanted any pattern, I wanted rings
around the legs, random sunbursts around the top and plain below the knee.
They looked like this once I was done.
I used Dylon hand dye stuff, £2.99 and mixed it up in a large basin tothe
instructions. You need enough room for 6 litres of the dye liquid and your fabric.
In it goes! Tom was also dyeing some tees for SHUTUPANDSKATE
Once its all in there you must mix it up for 15 mins,
then mix frequently for 45 mins.
After rinsing with cold water till it runs clear, I couldn't wait any longer -
I had to start un-tieing. Love that the strings came out tie dyed too!
Me happy as a camper in my new leggings- here I come Beni!
