I bought this pretty coral pink top from Mind in Gloucester a few weeks ago, but needed to add some more buttons to the front as it was a little revealing for me! By a stroke of luck my friend was clearing out loads of crap she no longer wanted an I inherited a load of vintage buttons as well as some lovely tins and other trimmings (you see when people know your not buying anything new they offer you stuff left right and centre!)
I replaced the top button (but remember to keep the one your taking off) and added another 2 to preserve my modesty. I used little bits of ribbon the create loops for the buttons to fasten. You know those little ribbons you get in most tops and dresses to make them sit right on hangers? and you normally cut them out as they get in the way when your wearing it? I keep all of those, they are so useful for projects just like this....
